Ajay Devgn, born on April 2, 1969, is a renowned Indian actor, filmmaker, and film producer mainly active in Bollywood. Known as one of Bollywood's leading actors, he has acted in over a hundred movies and earned several awards, such as four National Film Awards and 4 Filmfare Awards. In 2016, he was honored with the Padma Shri, India's prestigious civilian honor. Devgn stepped into Bollywood with the romantic-action film *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a blockbuster that catapulted him to fame. He subsequently acted in popular action films such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic blockbusters like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His critically acclaimed performance in *Zakhm* (1998) secured him a prestigious National Award. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn offered critically praised performances in films like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006).
